ZXZCTTC 2 Pack 7INCH Wood Hand Models Drawing or painting hands correctly without a reference can at times be challenging. I often use my own hands, but when doing that you can only see them briefly and must rely on memory. With these hand models you can now place them in the envisioned pose and have them close by as a convenient reference while you are drawing.These hands are well made. Fine craftsman ship is evident through out . They hand can be placed in many poses, but they do lack much of the articulation of real hands. Two most notable restrictions: First the thumb is does not rotate all only moving forward and back ward. I feel the thumb is the greatest restriction to getting these hands posed in as many positions as one might desire. The second ids that the fingers can not spread laterally. Both poses I had planned to use in the photos were not fully achievable due to thumb posing restrictions, but I feel both still give a decent representation, which an artist can modify to the desired pose, while still having a partial reference.3.5 stars.Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

This is one of the things I am certain I should have acquired in my art supplies long ago. I have some figures for postures, but not hands. Why did I wait? Price, probably. These are a great price though! My cat says they are great for noggin scrubs, so you might consider never using the hands for that purpose if you really need them for drawing. (It would then become a toy that you certainly mean for them, you know? I can haz? ) So, great poses for fingers. A little stiff but will probably ease over use and still hold the pose. Fun to just mess with. For drawing you can mimic your own hand pose and draw up nice basic lines without having to use your own hand or a photo. You need shadows and light that are hard to derive from a photo sometimes. Level up with these! Gift yourself or any artist at any level of skill.

This pair of left and right hands for reference drawing is very handy for me and my kids. It has improved our art a lot being able to visualize the hands and pose them to match what we need for our drawings. My only issue with the product is that the fingers cant spread out. The hands open and close but I can't use the hands to make a Vulcan greeting with the hands. This is only a minor issue I have. This is a great product for anyone who enjoys drawing and thinks they can improve the hand drawings.

If you want to be able to draw hands in poses, these will help to a limited degree. The palms don't articulate, the hand is perma-curve with the thumb curved forward instead of off to the side, and the fingers can only fold up and down, there's no sideways spreading for an open-handed wave, for instance. But for the price, they're decent.

I found an artist upcycling these into really neat tattooed pieces of art and wanted one but couldn't afford their prices. These are the same wooden hand models they are using so I thought it would be great to make my own.These are actually pretty well made with multiple flexible joints allowing a variety of poses. The look great and sit really well. I appreciate the additional felted bottom pad that reduces scratches to furniture. While these are perfect for my project, these would work moderately well for drawing models. They also work well just for decor.The only issue I found with these is that the finger joints only bend up and down so posing the hands with finger spreading isn't an option. You won't achieve a 'peace' sign.At the present price of $16.99, this appears to be within fair market value for a set. I'm happy I picked them up.

I am not a professional artist, but I took drawing classes in High School. Sketching is not a problem for me, but I wanted to look at real hands, not pictures. These hands are perfect for practicing. The scaling and hand proportion is good. Although, these wooden hands lack the articulation of a real person's hand they do have the form of a real hand and best of all is that they wont move or get tired while you are practicing your drawing skills. They are well built and the finish is good. I always wanted to have a pair hands, lol. Highly recommend these.

Very cool. Perfect for practicing hand drawing. Could also be good for a multitude of crafts or just for a display.
