I have a new large screen TV, and I'm building a custom stand for it. This set of straps we'll provide the security needed to keep the TV stable and prevent it from falling over- just in case! I was looking for a way for our large flat screen TV to have no chance of falling off the console and potentially harming my 3-year-old. The TV has worried me as it is big (80") and tends to wobble. I used duct tape as a precaution but it still made me nervous when my son was close to it or bumped it.Having heard horror stories about these TV's falling on wee ones, I didn't hesitate when I saw this set.This is a basic kit but has what is needed to easily secure your TV to the wall or table/entertainment center.It took me maybe a couple of minutes to set up and now I have a peace of mind that the TV is more secure. They are stuck down and I was a bit concerned that they would not stay stuck or not be strong enough if the TV were to move. But the adhesive is strong and seems like it won't unstick by itself.I think the cost is fair considering you do get everything needed and that it will not only protect your TV, but also is a safer environment for kids or animals.

So I actually purchased this, as I believe the screws that connect my tv to its base are broken, causing it to lean forward, and I needed a way to get the screen to lean back. This works! However, I attached the straps to the TVs own base...and the base is thinner than I thought, causing the screen to lift up the back just slightly.The only reason I take away a star, is because the sticky pads....stick too well. The package does not come with extras, and even with a heat gun, I was unable to remove the pads to move somewhere more sturdy.
