We use this product for a shower rod that must hang from the ceiling. We previously had a contractor put one in and it continuously was falling apart. This one is much more a one piece bracket and gives more swing when you’re opening and closing the curtain. We’ve been without a shower curtain for about two years so this was definitely an instant hit for us, we can now use our primary bathroom again.

The drop ceiling brackets are made of sturdy steel. Came as pair. Heads up, the hardwares that came are meant for concrete install. You will have to buy #12 screws if attaching to a wood. Fit perfectly a 1/2 size pipe to hold the curtains.

The anchors that come with the product are crap. Without an extra long socket for a rachet, there is no good way to hold onto the threaded screw and the screw the nut, all the while keeping adequate tension on the threaded rod.The mounting hardware looked a little hinky, but I ordered the product anyway. The anchor and screw are brass (contrasting with the stainless steel rods) and the threaded rod (not a screw) is integrated into the anchor with a spot weld making it one piece. This means you will need an extra deep 10mm or 7/16 socket to accept the threaded rod as the nut travels up the rod. Otherwise, good luck with two pliers and your exceptional patience. It is impossible to grasp the threaded rod with one set of pliers and turn the nut with the other set of pliers and keep the hanging rod pressed against the ceiling and tension so the anchor will properly fold upon itself in the ceiling. If you are able to perform this feat to completion you will have an unsightly 2"- 2 1/2" threaded rod protruding from your ceiling. Good luck cutting it.I ultimately ending up using left over plastic anchors and screws from a long since finished project to secure the drop mounts from the ceiling. At the end of the day, and I do mean literally, the end of the day, a 15 - 20 installation job took about three or four hours, the drop mounts are absolutely what I wanted and needed. For the money and armed with the information I have shared, there is no better product available. However, if you don't want the hassle and headache, research further and find better mounting hardware. Thus endeth the lesson.

I had to add a three-quarter inch block on the right side of my shower because I couldn't get the exact size I needed but all in all they are very sturdy no signs of rust and I feel that my wife and I can grab a hold of it in case we were slipping very solid Construction and decent price

Very happy with look, sturdiness and correct dimensions for fitting the curtain rod.

The brackets are just what I wanted. BUT: the "decorative caps" are too small, cheap-looking, and bent out of shape; one set screw is missing; the anchors included are not for drywall. Fortunately I can work around these minor issues, but I'm docking two stars for carelessness and not respecting the customer.

Although it didn't call for it, I had a hard time believing that the two drywall screws would actually hold if someone slipped and grabbed the shower curtain. Instead I glued a small wood base to the ceiling and then screwed the bracket into that.
