Way stronger than spring loaded tension bars. Comes with big beefy screws and wall anchors. Once locked in, they’re nice and tight. No wobbling at the joints. My only critique is, I wish they came in a stainless or brushed nickel finish. Although the paint feels like a tough powder coating, metal wire hangers will eventually scratch it up and it won’t look as nice.

The rod really is sturdy…the adjustable feature makes it adaptable for many different size closets. It wasn’t difficult to install….came with all the correct hardware & anchors. Good value!

These closet rods are easy to assemble and custom fit. They come in small sections that screw together with threaded ends that are formed in the tubing. As they don't have any connective hardware, they rely on a tight fit for rigidity. The paint or anodizing (can't tell what method was used) is nice, although the white might end up showing marks after awhile? Not sure, but the only reason I took a star off is more about the price and how long I think they might hold up. At close to $40, I think that's the upper limit of what I'd consider a decent value. As for durability, I think the rounded thread pattern used could eventually lead to some sagging without supporting the center of a long span, and we do need them to hold up at close to the max length. We'll see how they do in the long run. A reviewer mentioned they put them together and already sag under their own weight. That's not my experience at all! I put them together and tried to flex them and there's currently no noticeable give.

This set of closet rods is a good quality set with good hardware. I needed this closet rod to replace the rod in a basement closet and to hold coats, mostly. The design of this heavy duty rod is smart and sturdy. It is easy to prepare the rod for installation, simple to install, and to adjust to the custom size I need. I am very happy with these and recommend them.

These rods look nice coming out of the box. They are made in sections 15.75" long that screw together with an overlap of 1.75". In other words, each section is fourteen inches long when screwed together. The steel is powder-coated white and the sections screw together easily. For the "final" adjustment each rod has one section with pushbutton adjustment every three-quarters (0.75") of an inch apart. Very similar to an aluminum cane that is adjustable. The steel is not exactly "heavy-duty" as described. It isn't paper thin either. Somewhere in between. For example, I built a rod that covers about a 57" span. That's three sections screwed together plus the one pushbutton adjustment section. Unfortunately, without any clothing or weight attached, the rod is sagging in the middle! I can't imagine what it would look like on a full 90" span.I think this product is fairly well-designed but they needed to use heavier gauge steel for the rods stay straight and be able to hold some weight.

Exactly what I needed to maximize my closet space! The adjustable length (17 to 96 inches) makes them incredibly versatile, fitting both small and large spaces with ease. They feel sturdy and heavy-duty, holding a full load of clothes without sagging.Installation was simple, and the rods stay securely in place. Whether you're expanding a closet, adding extra hanging space, or organizing a laundry room, these rods are a great choice. Highly recommend for anyone looking for durable and adjustable closet storage!

I needed to modify a free standing clothing rack at our youth theater because the rod built into it could not accommodate sliding hangers - it only had holes for individual hangers. This was not a good setup for middle school kids who barely can even get a garment on a hanger in the first place, much less hang it up. LOL! So I came up with a plan to add a sliding rod below the inadequate one. I bought this rod, and literally used zip ties to fasten it below the existing rod with enough distance so regular hangers can be easily used. It worked perfectly - and is very solid. I am certain it would be perfect for all kinds of applications where a closet rod is needed.
