Took my Vortex water polisher out of storage 20 years. Filter bag will not hold the diatom earth any longer the fabric dried out. After lots of research these filter socks best I can come up with. First cut the plastic ringoff as close as possible. Put the old filter into the new filter and ty-rap it to the neck of the old filter. Must use old filter to keep from collapsing there's a spring metal inside. Filter floss may work too. I am back it WORKS using 1 micron sock.

Worked in a RedSea 350 filter sock holder with slight modifications, had to cut the outer ring off with a box cutter. Otherwise does a great job of maintaining crystal clear water. I added filter floss into the sock to catch the big stuff and prevent premature clogging. After 2 days in some bleach and a run through the washing machine rinse cycle, they're like brand new again.
