I just tried this once with a big outer cloce of garlic. Maybe it would work with one of the more tender inner cloves. The tool mashed the clove but none of it went through the holes. Yes, I did remove the outer papery layer. So I got out a knife and sliced it up. Maybe my garlic was at fault. It seemed fiberous. But a garlic is a garlic and if this thing is supposed to mince garlic, it should do so. I'm not impressed.

A waste of money. I bought to replace my garlic press. Not sure who dreamed this up, but it is obviously someone who has never minced garlic. It makes one wonder if they even tried it.

Purchased for my wife, who has rheumatoid arthritis (severe) in the knuckles of her hands. Other, older style, Garlic Presses have become pretty much impossible for her to use. These have been an absolute godsend for her.Not only is she simply ‘able’ to shred/press garlic cloves once more, but this (returned) ability brings her So. Much. Joy!The only -possible- complaint I could drum up is that now I'm gaining weight ’cause she’s cooking so many more wonderful meals now... 😉
