One clips items to my bcd. The other makes a distinctive noise when I use it to hit my tank to get my dive buddy's attention when I want to point out something cool.

Solid clips, so far no issues with them rusting or corroding. I use them to secure equipment for scuba diving. No issues so far. Good for the price.

I bought these for my dogs leash. Works great, easy to clip and unclip. Good size and quality. No issues. Ended up using the second one to clip on the shed door latch.

Quality and material are lacking. Their performance has degraded immensely after only about 10 dives. The springs have become difficult to operate.

20230910 update: Made in China per packaging. Have purchased several. One broke (my fault) because for one use the eye wasn't big enough. Thought they were made in USA for some reason. Will keep my eye out for bigger eyed, heavy duty double snaps.Original review 5 stars: These are surely exactly like the double snaps from the 1970s I've used with the horses. The eye is large enough to snap to a 1-2" chain link, feed bucket, 3" ring, etc. The ones I'd purchased lately, if I could find any, were smaller, other metal, and delicate. These are the real deal.

Received the brass clips however on the packaging it states that the stainless used for the springs is not 316 stainless steel as advertised, it is 304 stainless. This item description as of June 20th 2024 is not accurate and is misleading. 304 stainless steel is a big problem for saltwater applications (diving), will rust and degrade quickly.
