Package included PTFE (teflon) thread tape with the valves. Valves have compression fittings on both sides. Thread tape shouldn't be used with compression fittings.

There are inserts that should be used so that a leak proof connection is made. They give you teflon tape. You really shouldn't use Teflon tape on a compression fitting. They need to supply you with the plastic inserts so that you get a good connection. Overtime use of Teflon tape will probably end up leaking.
