This rod is totally amazing. It wets and flows like a dream, I have never seen anything like it. I use an oxcetelyine torch with a small tip and a neutral to carburizing flame.

I own a commercial HVACR company. I wish I knew about this product years ago, we would have saved a lot of time and money. We've struggled to repair leaks in Microchannel coils. One of our manufacturers has a service bulletin with instructions to use Red Epoxy and a heat gun to repair their coils. We've had poor results with this method. It's time consuming and the results are not good. Most of the time we've been unable to repair the leak. Sometimes we repair the leak, but the repair will fail over the next few months. We've replaced entire coils due to the epoxy repairs failing multiple times. We've also tried several other aluminum solder products, again with mixed results. Even our most experienced technicians, myself included struggle to use other soldering products advertised to work with Aluminum. The melting point of other types of solder is so close to the melting point of aluminum that if you're not careful you wind up make the problem bigger. There was a narrow margin of error. Another brand I recently tried failed to flow like the AL 822.Enter AL 822. WOW. I was able to easily repair a coil, and fill gaps on the first try. I handed a stick to an apprentice who has limited experience soldering, and he was able to successfully solder a microchannel coil using this product on his first try. It's that easy to use. The welds look strong. Even if used temporarily until a new coil can be installed, this is the real deal and it will save you time and money.
