The grooves across 1/2 of the surface in the design of this silicone mat are fairly deep and are designed - kind of like a waffle - with connected sides. Unlike another mat I’d recently purchased, our puppy is unable to completely get ALL of her spreadable treat from the “waffle†half, although she can get the other side thoroughly. We liked our first mat so much, I was thrilled to be able to pick up a couple more. We will keep them, but the utilization is not quite as optimal due to the design.

I use these as slow feeders for my cat’s wet food and it works great! Suction cups work well (though I only use mine on hardwood floor). The cute little spatula is very convenient for spreading around the food. Cleaning is a little tedious getting in all the grooves, but it’s not too bad.

First 5/5 for the mat itself. I cover it in peanut butter and put it in the freezer. It works really well at sticking to the ground and giving my puppy something stimulating to do.HOWEVER-I checked and it’s not just me. The top of the spatula is an actual hazard for dogs. It can easily be licked off - that’s right, not bit or pulled off but LICKED.My older dog had licked the PB off it just fine several times and I assumed it would be fine for the puppy. But I can now guess my older girl is a bit more gentle because my puppy straight up licked it off and accidentally swallowed it whole. $4000 dollars in vet bills later to get it removed and there were no teeth marks, meaning that’s exactly how it went down.The surgeon (!!!!) confirmed it is too large and too weird a shape to pass and inducing vomiting is highly unlikely to work. So this is a surgery-level hazard. PLEASE replace it or don’t offer it with the mat at all.

It’s a great product but I don’t think it’s for my pit bull puppy’s.. at least not yet, they don’t really understand to lick it and instead they bite it most the time and make a mess. I’ll user it for treats instead of breakfast so they can understand how it works soon but just know your dog may not love it… lol

This is great for dogs and cats alike! Definitely cures boredome and provides mental stimulation for my older guys who don't get out as often as we use to. I like to add Greek yogurt, pumpkin puree and peanut butter and crumble some treats on top, then freeze for about 30 minutes, and let my pets enjoy! Fairly easy to clean as long as you soak in some water for a few minutes before. No issues with putting them in the dishwasher. My set unfortunately didn't come with the spatula, but a butter knife or spoon works just fine. The suction is not the greatest on my tile floor but it sticks to the counter top and glass very well.
