Works as designed and feels substantial in your hand. I am using for an enclosed trailer door. I like the engineering and design of this, over the normal straight bar that locks on the hook. For sand dunes and windy environments, choose this style. Overall, I am happy.

Our barn needs to breath in the summer and climing a ladder to open the upper door is a real pain. I put these on that door and now it is great - i can open it and shut it from the ground with a pole and it stays put - very nicley made and easy to install.

I put one of these on my enclosed work trailer because the door bar that came with the trailer kept getting broken from wind or the guys bumping it. This latch is awsome- strong enough to hold the door it a hard wind but releases when you give the door a good pull. This is not a delicate latch that you have to be careful with. I do not expect to ever have an issue with this thing. I have already ordered another set to replace the door latch on the other trailers and my camper. I am very happy with this.
