i use this to clean engine blocks. i think maybe going to the 80 grit would be better for cast iron - i find i need to lean in REALLY hard to get some of the gaskets off the mating surfaces. 80 would probably do a better job but still, this does a good job of not digging in so there is that. using it on a snapon 90 degree die grinder

Didn't really work for what I needed it for but worked well to clean up battery terminals but that's about it for getting carbon off heads on a car better off with a wire wheel

I was looking for a good way to sand some turned wood legs and saw someone using these for the job. They guy was actually using the 3M versions, but I was eager to get going and I found I could get these much faster than the 3M ones. Unfortunately, depending on how much pressure you use, you’ll get one of two outcomes1) barely scratches surface2) actually works for literally only a few seconds before the prongs melt together.No in between

Description says comes with 2 bristles but did not, returned first order thinking it was sent wrong, second shipment still did not come with white bristles, only 1/4 holder. I see that the white bristles is not being sold now or not part of the options to purchase. Time wasted is not good. I should have just ordered the 3m version

These were complete garbage in comparison to an actual 3M brush. They worked so poorly I ended up throwing them in the trash and then ordering real 3M brushes.
