Fixed my 20V DeWalt impact driver bit from falling out. Comes with 2 snap rings, only needed the smaller one, no idea what the bigger one is for, but my impact now works properly after losing its bit for 2 years so I'm not asking questions. Fits and works as described.

Perfect replacement kit for my dewalt 20v impact. The final ring that you install has to be pulled apart a little to fit. Glad to have salvaged my drill. Pic included is of the piece that you need to slightly pull apart to make it fit

Worked fantastic on my Dewalt clone impact driver. I suggest you do the work on a towel or similar to prevent bearing and stuff from roll/bouncing away.

I bought a replacement spring set off this site for about half this cost, and could never get the spring in. so much frustration. took another chance, ordering this -- the design is slightly different, and the spring installation was successful -- no more losing bits

Second attempt at review because I wanted to be fair. AT FIRST I thought they sent out the wrong size retaining ring. Turns out they send two different sized retaining rings. I didn’t realize this and I, of course, chose the ring that was too big. After replacing all of the new parts, I used the original retaining CLIP, which was super hard to get on, to finish the job. I watched a couple of videos and they both used the retaing RINGS; not CLIP. So, I went back to the packaging and, much to my surprise, the smaller, correct sized retains ring was in the bag. My rebuild was already complete when I realized my mistake, but I’m sure the smaller ring would have done the job.

Cheap kit that does not fit the Dewalt Impact driver. Have done tool repair for several years, ordered this for my own drill. The steel ball is too big and the springs are cheap quality. Do not fit properly and does not hold the steel ball in place. Have ordered three similar kits and none of them are holding the steel ball, not even worth the time to return as the kit was so cheap.

Bought this to replace the spring in my Dewalt DCF885 impact driver. It fit great and now my driver holds bits again. I bought the 2 pack so I have a spare on hand. It is a fairly simple and easy fix. Replacing the retaining ring was probably the most difficult but not that hard. Recommended placing your drill in a vise so you have 2 free hands.

Product works great and easy to install. BUT , be careful on how you place the ball bearing on the new insulation. It only works one way. Any doubt google it.
