TIPS

- 2. The product will not burn, but will be stiff and fragile while in continuously in a high temperature.
- 3.Exhaust wrap insulates heat in exhaust systems but cannot isolate all. Insulation effects depend on thickness. Avoid contact with body and combustible materials to prevent burns and ignition while using.

I applied this on my car's exhaust (Toyota MR2 ZZW30) it was enough to cover the headers, the down pipe, and part of the Main cat. It was not difficult to apply but you NEED gloves and eye protection because the fiberglass strands are very tiny and could pierce your skin. I soaked the whole thing in water and it became a lot more manageable. The provided metal straps are not that good, you need pliers to tighten them and I used a Dremel to cut the remains. If you got the money, get better metal straps, if not, these work fine but you need to cut off the excess and they're a bit of a pain.Pros: After applying the wrap along with the factory heat shields there was a noticeable decrease in heat in the engine bay. You still cant touch the heat shields directly but inside the compartment there's less radiating heat. I also noticed how the speed of the gases increased and can be heard in the exhaust. Sometimes there's even a bit of backfire noise on deceleration.Cons: Tons of smoke on day one, had to run the engine for a couple of hours and rev it really high to let the wrapping get heated and release all the moisture. They also smell pretty bad on day one. After 2-3 days the smoke is completely gone but they still smell a bit. Everything is back to normal in around a week.Some people also say they can rust the exhaust if they get wet often because they hold moisture. I don't believe this because the pipes get so hot that I doubt they can stay wet for long. Still I applied high temp Rustoleum paint on the pipes before the bandages. I would recommend rust prevention or more expensive ceramic coating if you got a good exhaust system just in case. I didn't apply Silicon because the one I got is flammable, but you could try this as well to make them water proof. I still got my heat shields/covers and I avoid driving on the rain so I'm not worried.Good product, would buy again, Thanks!

The product is pretty cool. I like the color but when I opened it, the cross stitching it feels and looks like fiberglass webbing. I got the 50 foot roll 2 inches and I put half of it on my cold air intake and it works pretty well. It was easy to put on the metal zip ties worked pretty good I’ll like them, but I don’t think it has any titanium in it. It feels like fiberglass webbing pretty much but even if it is just fiberglass weapon. I’m sure it will still do the job

I am writing this review after trying the product for almost 2 years, let me tell you that it will work perfectly for what it is described. I had a problem with my Ford car, the exhaust pipe would heat up the metal next to the seats and you could feel that heat on the soles of your feet even with shoes on. I used this product and the problem disappeared, it really is amazing.

Awesome price, great color, easy to use. The zip ties that come with are trash so I painted some 2†hose clamps black w/ flameproof paint and used those instead. Haven’t ran the new wrap for more than 10 minutes so we will see if the color holds up over time.

Noticed a large hole in the elbow of the exhaust pipe of our motorhome (Cummins 8.9L diesel) and didn't have time to have it fixed properly before we were leaving but didn't want to drive without doing something so figured I'd try this and it worked amazingly (the last picture is after driving about 2500 km). I actually used this product (brownish) and another one (silver - titanium adhesive backed heat shield). It was easy to apply and lasted the trip and looks to still be good until I can fix properly in the Spring.

Bought this to wrap my bike exhaust, the heat coming off the rear pipes were very uncomfortable. Followed some YouTube advice, wedded the fiberglass first and it made the install much better. It comes with straps but I opted to use better band clamps at the start and finish. The supplied metal straps were good to secure in general but we're not very tight fitting when applied. My only advice is to make sure you wear nitrile gloves when applying. The small fibers are sharp and can embed in your skin. The wrap reduced the heat quite well, I would say 30 to 40% reduction on felt heat on my leg. The rap on the pipe under the engine is definitely reducing the heat transferred into the oil pan area. Just an added bonus.

This heat wrap does work very well. Seems to keep Heat temperatures down. It’s not the funniest To install, I would definitely recommend it and Recommend wearing the gloves to then it comes with And depending on whatever you are doing, You may want to purchase some additional/longer metal ties. Also the ones that it comes with will definitely not do 4 inch exhaust, but I would highly recommend the wrap.

They come with little metal zip ties that are a pain to use if you don't have the proper tool. The wrap frays from the center out and it's a bit to thick to do anything smaller than a 2 inch pipe with.

I purchased this to cover my pipes on my motorcycle and it definitely does a good job. It takes a bit to get it started but once it’s started it wraps up well. Make sure to buy the tool for the steel ties with it, it makes it way easier to attach them tight!!
