The price posted is really why this is a good deal. If you can’t coat your headers or exhaust, for some reason, this is second best for sure. Definitely way better than nothing. Engine heat creates inefficiencies.I mean see it’s as real as DEI in so far as I can tell without sending to a lab for testing. The fibers on the wrap are sharp so the included gloves a very welcome, however, I don’t not recommend any one handle bare handed. I did handle it bare skinned and I didn’t get any splinters. If anything that maybe lends a slight nod to durability. I’m putting them on headers as the the air intake runs directly above the headers and there’s a noticeable power reduction on long drives. Although I’ve seen it’s recommended to wet the wrap during application as instructions were not included in my kit unfortunately, I have heard moisture becomes an issue in terms of rust. I think the heat cycles will deal most normal moisture such as the occasional rain or puddle. However, It may be a problem on a 4x4 that’s a “mudderâ€. I’m willing to experiment as this wrap kit is relatively inexpensive and my headers are 20 years old. I want to apply a silicone coat over the wrap to waterproof it. Not saying it’s right, but progress isn’t made by acting like a know it all. It made by foolishness. Although i got this kit for free I’ll probably be buying some soon especially when my headers fall off from corrosion or because I won the cannon ball Run. Either way, I think this wrap is worth it.

It's as easy to install as you'd expect. The ties are a good addition to have heat resistant ways to secure the wrap at each end. The picture of the gloves is a little misleading in my opinion, because they're just your standard latex thin gloves -- where as in the picture they looked like they would be a little thicker/robust.
