Ordered from BackyardPoolSuperstore. Pool chemicals... In a BOX! SCANDALOUS! I might as well be drinking wine from a box, or eating ice cream from a box, right? Well, this review shows that despite appearances, this Stabilizer is the perfect, inexpensive solution for raising your CYA levels.I completely agree with the other positive reviews, but I'd like to share my thoughts here to give a more broad perspective. I calculated my precise requirement according to my pool's current condition along with the product instructions (...add 1 lb to raise 10ppm per 10k gal...), and placed an order for ten pounds of stabilizer. Item was received shortly afterwards, and FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS on the label exactly, I measured out and added the stabilizer to the skimmer after backwashing. Now, two days later, my CYA levels are exactly as expected. Note that depending on your pool size and condition, your time may slightly vary, but the point is, this product WILL work if used correctly.So in conclusion, this Stabilizer may come in a box, but guess what: that box is no longer needed (as in: looks aren't important), and my CYA levels are perfect! Thank you, BackyardPoolSuperstore! I will definitely be doing business, again!

With a newly remodeled pool and starting with fresh water and being in rainy season in FL, balancing the chemistry has been a challenge. I’ve went through smaller bags of stabilizer that cost more before finally seeing this much larger bag available for a cheaper price.

"put into skimmer and wait 2 days" the directions say. Above ground pool. No skimmer.So I put some in a bucket of water and crushed it with my hands to dissolve and add to the pool. Very time consuming as this stuff doesn't dissolve readily but i got 'er done then vacuumed the the tiny bits that settled to the bottom into the filter. Raises cya as well as the pkg directions say it does.
