Any musician will tell you dust will ruin your equipment much faster than other forms of wear and tear. These are great dust covers for any exposed USB-A ports. I have a few USB hubs with upward facing ports and wanted to prevent any dust accumulation inside the hubs. These covers fit perfectly and are easy to insert and remove when needed.

They do the job, the only problem is they can be impossible to remove without some kind of tool - there's nothing but a small rubber nub to grab hold of. You need needle nose pliers or tweezers to get them out. Not a big deal really, but they could be improved. That said, I appreciate the protection they provide and I don't remove them very often anyway.

I find port cover caps very useful in keeping elements out of use connections on deices that are never or maybe rarely ever used. The cover caps can be easily removed with small pair of needle nose pliers.
