This is much better product than what is sold in the local box stores. It is much better than "silver bearing", the 5% silver brazing rod flows nicely.I used my oxygen/mapp gas set up to braze bronze and copper plumbing parts for a faucet.I not a welder or plumber, have performed some do it yourself plumbing and welding over the years.

I've done quite a bit of brazing. I've never seen or heard of copper self-fluxing brazing rod. I grabbed the B tank - an acetylene tank with torch fed with ambient air, a couple of these little (5/64th) copper rods and basically soldered up some 3/8th inch copper pipe and fittings. These do, indeed, work well without using flux - flows nice. Flow is nicer with a little bit of NoKorode though. I like 'um.7 Super Novas for The Copper Brazing Rods BCuP-2 (5/64" x 9.8") ~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life! ~

If you need some brazing rods, consider this stuff instead of that other kind that is covered with a white flux. Since these are self-fluxing, you won't need anything other than your torch and the two pieces you are brazing together. I recommend it to anyone who brazes metal together, home garage or repair shop. I was hesitant at first but was pleasantly surprised when I put mine to use.

I wanted some silver-bearing brazing rods for working on some experimental refrigeration equipment, so I thought I would give this a try. Excellent choice. This brazing rod is well made out of good quality materials. Works very well on properly prepared and fluxed tubing. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

These rods braze nicely at low temp. They bond well and flow good. They are easy to use and are well worth the cost.

These worked well to braze some copper, haven't had any brass to try them on yet, but had no issues with flow.

I finally got a chance to use this and was very pleased.I happened to be doing some work with my oxy-acetlyene setup so that was my heat source.I was using a small tip and low flame, but suffice to say whatever you are using it has to be capable of getting the copper red hot just like you do when silver soldering.Using this copper phosperous product was very effortless, no flux is required for copper to copper, and there is a wealth of info on the web as to temperatures, technique, etc. if you have never used this product before.Definitely a nice product.
