The split rings seem great. The pliers that came with are not the best. But I also got a "nice" split ring/fishing pliers at the same time. So this cheap set will stay in my tackle making kit for a spare when making tackle.

Rings work, smaller so not for big game. Pliers seem cheap, loose hinge and teeth did not line up.

This is a nice set of split rings with the pliers. I did see the sizes in the description, so my bad that it didn't seem to register. The rings and pliers are tiny. Can't use them for the project I am working on, but will use them on others. Really needed rings that are about twice the largest in this kit. Having said that, the rings seem so be decent quality, and the pliers work, although they don't open the rings very wide. It enough to get a larger screwdriver in it though, and that is much easier than trying it by hand.

I've been a fishing guide for 10+ years up on LOTW and have the musky disease. I bought these because I started making my own lures hoping I could use these split rings on my 4/0 and 5/0 treble hooks. These split rings look like they were made by bending paperclips and not that I've had one fail but I won't even put them on my lures. For walleye, bass, or pan fish these would be absolutely perfect but I'm no gonna risk loosing a big fish for me our a guest because of low end split rings. I will say that for the price you get a great pair of split ring pliers they work great !!
