I purchased a different brand of this kind of tool, but the line cutter was in a odd position, only thing I liked about them was the hard open cave belt clipNow Thea one’s are fantastic for one handed use, line cutter is conventionally placed, they have a lock switch to keep them closed. Nice clip with a nice clip which can easily be clipped to a belt loop with out using the Velcro closed soft case. Just wish it had a hard belt case so you can draw them faster when needed in quick situations. Overall though I would definitely buy these again. Lightweight, very function and useful multi tool. Great for shore, dock or boat fishing, very strong jaws. No issues with it slipping in wet hands. Definitely recommend.

This is a great price on what seems to be well-made fishing pliers. It has one annoying flaw, however, and that's the latch that holds it closed. It's small and tight, which makes it almost impossible to close and lock the pliers with one hand. Hopefully, it loosens up over time and with some lubrication, but it's still going to be too small. If they made it bigger, and maybe even put some kind of rubber thumb pad on it, it would be a huge improvement.EDIT: The locking latch did loosen up with some reel oil. I also bent it slightly to open it up. It now operates with one hand as long as you are holding the pliers a certain way. I notice the more expensive models have a different latching mechanism. Overall, still a good product for the price.

I got these as a gift for people who like to fish when I heard them mention that their fishing pliers went missing. I gave it to them before a fishing trip, and when they got back they made it a point to let me know that these are superior pliers and they will be getting more pairs. Everyone is very happy with the ease of use and appearance and really appreciate them. Great gift, thank you.

Great pair of fishing pliers with carry case. Reasonably priced for what you are getting. The grips are lightweight and comfortable to hold with grooves in the right place for gripping, pulling and twisting. The pliers have multiple uses including but not limited too opening key rings with the end of the jaws, crimping down weights or split shot, cutting line, removing hooks. The pliers are attached to a lightweight coil with a hook on the end that clips onto your belt or onto the case as per my picture. The case itself can then loop through your belt so it’s always to hand and you don’t have to worry about loosing them if the fish puts up a fight and you drop them towards the sea as the buckle will keep them close. The red handles look well manufactured and look like they will really stand up in time. Meant to be rust free and time will tell, hard to keep my tools rust free when sea fishing but these look like they may be able to hold up to that claim. The pliers have a thumb switch to hold them closed when not in use, simple enough to operate and pings off when you squeeze them shut so no fiddling around when you need them in a hurry. Very happy with these pliers.

Regarding the dimensions and the way of use, I can say with certainty that it is quite comfortable and easy to handle in any conditions, it doesn’t slip from hand, comfortable to hold in hand, and also it is very lightweight. The product is a basic tool in fishing and can be hung wherever it is more convenient thanks to the sheath with the cord and the carrying case that comes with it in the package. So far so good, I’m happy with this product

These are really well thought out.The little pouch has a belt loop on it so you can easily hang it from your trousers and have it ready when you need it AND they attached a bungee with carabiner you can clip on to yourself so when you are using them if they get dropped they don't fall to the bottom of the sea / river. An absolute genius idea and life saver for when you're wrangling a fish with one hand and pliers in the other to get the hook out.The pliers themselves work well they have the ussual chompers for cutting line, flat grip for handling bits and a bit at the end for de-hooking.They rinse off easily and the coating is apparently salt water resistant. It's a little early to tell if the claim holds but if it starts rusting like mad I'm sure I'll update my review. They're comfortable to grip and don't feel turn slippy at the 1st sight of water.Easy to use and very handy.
