These lights are awesome at first install and use. Lifetime has yet to be tested. The description is accurate and these appear to be good quality lights--they are metal cylinders and stems with some plastic. I didn't sense any weak points or quality issues with the component--I just can't say how long they'll last. So far, we love them. The color temperature adjustment was critical for me and my wife--she likes the warmer tones (low Kelvin) and I like bright white (5000 Kelvin). Switching is simple as a button click, or you can step through multiple degrees in between. Also, night mode is nice--one button to bring lights on at dimmest setting for night. It's a great evening/ambient look. When setting up the lights, on the canister itself, you can dial the lens from spot light to flood light, but we didn't like the directed spotlight look (more counter coverage with flood). But if you're illuminating art or objects, the spot light flexibility might be good for you.I was surprised how easily these install. Once H-Track was in place, you pull back a little retaining slide, push into the track, twist 90° and DONE. Adjusting position is easy without having to remove and reinsert, just slide. They rotate about 350°, and tilt 90°. So you can really point them ANYWHERE.IMPORTANT: This set came with 2 remotes that control all 8 lights. You can configure the two remotes to each control half (or 6/2, 5/3, etc.). Just plug in the first set, turn breaker on and within 5s press and hold Setup on the remote. They'll blink. That will tie these lights to that remote. Remove them. Then install the remaining lights, and do the same thing with the other remote. Those lights are now programmed to that remote. I love this flexibility. I expect this means you can buy additional lights and add them to your existing remote as well. However, they are not "smart lights" and can't be tied to apps or anything. My wife is so happy with these I thought I'd post a thorough review with pictures.

Great customer service. Lights are great although remote quality could be improved.

Cheaply made for the price and neither remote worked, and 3 of the lights didn’t work.

This set offers almost everything I was looking for: it's dimmable, zoomable, adjustable in light temperature, rotatable in all directions, and remote controllable. The remote controls allow you to adjust all of these features except for the zooming. One thing I do wish for is the ability to turn each light head on or off individually via a switch. However, considering the price range, that's probably asking too much. Still, you get two remote controls, which you can use to manage two groups of lights independently, including turning them on and off.By the way, I checked whether turning off or dimming the lights would help save on the electric bill. I noticed that lights turned off (by remote controls) or dimmed to the lowest setting stay much cooler compared to those at normal brightness, which reassures me that this should indeed save energy. One issue I encountered was that one of the lights was very dim and unresponsive to the remote control. I contacted the vendor through Amazon's service department, and they responded quickly, sending me a replacement in a timely manner. I truly appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction.

These will replace halogen track heads I currently have. Love the two remotes. Will eventually put 4 lights on each remote. I needed 2 packages foot s total of 16.

These track lights were acquired to replace very old incandescent track lights. The smaller light housing is much less visually obtrusive than my older and larger lights. The ability to dim any or all of the lights is nice. If you want to selectively control only some of the lights you must unpair the lights you don't want to control. Color temperature is selectable on a per light basis. Unique to these light is the ability to focus/defocus the light spot. This is very nice indeed. The photo shows three spot settings on a 30"x40" painting. (The light was placed on this track for this photo. This is not its final installtion place.) One thing to keep in mind is that the LED in the track light is essentially non-replacable without soldering.
