We own a flat piece of vacant land and at the back of our property is a lot of wooded area with lots of wildlife. As we don’t have a home on the property yet, we normally put our travel trailer on our land and we sit outside a lot to enjoy our views during the summer. We like checking out all the animals we see but they are so far away, it is hard to get a good look at them, thus why we were in the market for a pair of binoculars. We have a monocular, but I think that is only 8x power, so we were looking for a higher powered unit. I searched up options and this one came up as what appeared to be a good option.I ordered it up and they arrived within a few days. The box they arrived in show they are waterproof and the rest of the words on the box are in French. The binoculars came in a carrying case with a shoulder strap, they were wrapped in a plastic bag for shipping and came with instructions and a cleaning cloth. The main lens also has end dust caps too. Trying them out of the past few days, I found these are really decent binoculars for the price. As we are in the winter months now, we aren’t going up to our land anytime soon, so I have been using around my neighborhood, checking out things in the distance. I am not an expert on how others would compare, but these are a ton better than the ones I had as a kid. They are easy to use, I feel they are pretty powerful, and I can certainly see a lot in the distance, and are very clear.I would certainly recommend this option based on these ideas and cased on my initial usages, for what this product can do and for the price, I would certainly recommend this option. I see there is also a 50% off coupon now so if you are on the fence, I would certainly recommend to get them now before that goes away. I will only update this post in the future if it does not live up to my expectations.

These are pretty decent binoculars for the price point. They don't have an amazing zoom, but it's enough to get a somewhat closer look for local bird watching or for kids to play around with. Comes with a basic tough nylon carrying bag.

I mark these as average quality, not great and not terrible - they are middle of the road and seem fairly priced.If you're like me and your eyes are getting older - even though you yourself are young and full of life - a good pair of binoculars can be helpful.I like to keep a pair in the car so that if I decide to have a lunch break car pic-nic I can browse around the area and see what I might see.I like to have a pair handy near our back door at home so I can urban bird watch while getting a little sunshine.They come in quite handy too at concerts and entertainment events.This pair is good for any of those things - not great - but you will have improvement over just your eyes on their own.They are big and clunky - which makes them much less portable - they don't fit well into a purse or pocket.Overall these meet my expectations as related to the advertised listing and feel they should last a good long time with proper care.

I occasionally like to bird watch, so I figured why not? These did the job well! I have no complaints after using them several times. They come with a nifty handbag that helps protect the body and lens.

I found these to be quite a good pair for the price tag. They can be slightly more difficult to adjust, especially while up to your eyes. Zooming in and out. I assume that this is due to the magnification level. But it certainly is not a dealbreaker by any means. They are decently light weight, so I could see myself bringing these and using these at concerts and birdwatching as well as in the mountains as they would not be a burden in my opinion. They came with an average cloth case. A hard case would’ve been preferential, but I’m happy to have any case at all. They are made pretty durably. They don’t feel super fragile or breakable when using them.

People generally think that the bigger the number the better something must be. Therefor a 20x50 binoculars must be better than an 8x42, right? Wrong.The first number is the magnification and the second number is the size of the objective lens (which determines how much light it lets in). The problem with a stronger magnification is that it can be hard to hold the binoculars still when it's zooming in tight on something.I am a hiker and bird watcher and my best binoculars are 10x42. These are not likely to be as good for bird watching. I got these to actually be looking at stars in the night sky. A good magnification and letting in more light should actually provide good star gazing. With a good binocular you can actually see rings around Saturn. Not individual rings, mind you, but you can actually see the planet with a ring.This set of binoculars does let in good light. I have checked out stars and the moon at night, and I have used them to look at birds during the day.BUT ... as others have noted, they don't feel like a 20x magnification. That's good if you want to look at birds, that's not so good if you're trying to look at something farther away and want a 20x magnification.I knew I wasn't going to be getting a top of the line pair of binocs here (I've paid over $1000 for a decent pair), but for the price it's a really decent pair. Just don't go in looking for the really strong zoom.
