A nice multiuse tool. Transfer punch all the way to pry bar.This can also be used as a pry bar. For example, I needed to tighten up the garage door torsion springs, this allows me to hold the spring while I loosen the lockdown bolts, move the spring, then tighten the bolts again.This bar is well-built with an impressive even cone shape. Very strong, and scratch resistant finish.Highly recommended for a home tool kit as it has many uses.It's a great punch too!

I'll admit, this is the sort of item that you're only going to know how good it is by how much abuse it can take. I just can't bring myself to do destructive testing on it, so I'm going by what I can observe. This comes in a plastic bag, no case or sleeve. The finish is decent black oxide. It feels nice and solid in the hand and is certainly not soft steel. I tested a file on it and it barely was able to scrape the steel. So, I'm going to say that it's at least modestly hardened. The ends are both nice and cleanly machined and I see no reason that this won't work for many a years with some care.
