I attempted to change a wheel stud on my car using some questionable methods from YouTube. Long story short, I messed up the new one and another one on the same hub. Decided to buy this one since I didn’t want to pay for the most expensive one on here.Worked great and no cracks on mine afterwards, unlike some of the complaints I see on here. I even used an impact wrench on it. I would recommend and buy again if this one ever cracked.

Beats the heck out of stacking up a bunch of washers! Has two separately rotating bearings that allow the whole tool to spin as a lug nut is tightened down on a wheel stud.Worked great on an old Jeep Wrangler and a 3500 Silverado. Versatile, simple, effective, and inexpensive.

Seems to be built well. Bearing moves nice and freely. For the price it’s great for the at home shop as I seem to have lost my other one. Really is built heavy and believe it to function properly. I like using the installer and it’s good to have. As many shops over tighten lug nuts and eventually messes up threads and will require replacement. Fairly easy simple job. One that I hate paying someone else to do because it’s so simple. Depending on how many are in need of replacement could get rather expensive fast. This tool makes it easy to install new stud so you can replace lug nut and torque properly.Definitely will buy a few for stocking stuffers for friends.

This happened right before vacation so the car was on a jack for a week. Thank god for handy Father-in-law who fixed the issue and said the tool helped.

Quality tool for installing studs in a pinch where you can’t get to a press. Good value and durable casting. Should fit many models. Rated three stars because it really isn’t as good as pressing in the studs and requires a lot of torque to pull some studs through that can end up damaging the threads.
