We are not even in negative temperatures yet and my chickens water keeps freezing over so I needed something that was going to keep it from freezing so they had access to water without having to go out every single day. Everything in stores around me was well ridiculously price so this was my best option. It arrived quick was very simple. All I had to do was literally plug it in and throw it in the bucket their water isn’t freezing, but also doesn’t make it hot. It was the perfect solution to my freezing water issue.

After a week of early morning trips to my bird baths with gallons of warm water, I started looking for alternative solutions. I considered external heaters similar to those used in chicken coops and various combination devices that heat and distribute water. I finally chose this COICOTTC immersion heater (2-pack) because I could support the critters in the water holes that they were already comfortable with. My birdbaths are deep enough that I could comply with the manufacturer's warning about keeping the heaters constantly immersed to avoid damage. So far, they have worked perfectly with no residue buildup on the durable metal exteriors.

I have been using these two heaters for about a week now in my ducks waters. They are both 17 gallon galvanized steel tubs. and the temperatures have been as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit and I have not seen the slightest bit of ice. I am very happy and pleased with this product and I strongly recommend.
