I need to install a tin roof on a firewood enclosure and tried these screws out. It was more economical for me to order these screws then find some at the hardware store. What I loved? once tapped, they attached the roof and look quite nice. what i didn't like? They were hard to get tapped. After a while you get into a ryhtm but at first getting them tapped was difficult, especially working on a ladder.

Got this from the seller and 2 1/2" from another seller. Turns out I just needed 1 1/2" most of the time. They are just fine, but found a few misassembled pieces. I could've flipped the washer but the problem was that the washer tops weren't coated.Contacted the seller, nothing major but telling them these were found. The seller responded really quick (less than 12 hours) and compensated me with no hassle. I mean, they even made me feel bad but I am definitely buying more from JEGONFRI when I need more for sure.

There's nothing self-drilling about these. The amount of time you have to keep it pressed at a PERFECT 90 degree angle just to get it to break metal is ridiculous. Typically at least 5 seconds per screw. There's really no difference between these and regular non-tapping screws. Like another review said, 50% of mine hit the ground because they just slip right off the metal and down they go. I've smashed many fingers and ripped off half a thumb nail just trying to hold these things while they "self-drill" at the perfect angle. When you hit 89 degrees instead of 90 degrees? It slips and if you've been trying to hold the damn thing because you've already lost 3/4 of the screws in your belt and you don't want to get down to get more screws again - you're going to smash some fingers with your drill.Good luck. I would stay FAR away. Unfortunately I bought mine too long before I started my job to return them. But they are awful.
