Since man first learned how to stab himself with a sharpened stick there are many tools that have evolved in many wonderful ways. The AES Industries 25-295 10" Surform Cheesegrater Blade Holder is the antithesis to the concept that time makes all things better. A new low in the world of tools for the craftsman, artist and enthusiast. Simple in construction but lacking all forethought and quality control. A loser among losers., its crap-a-rooney.The handle and the screw that holds to the body is the wrong design and the wrong part to use with any force. The screw is of the poorest material, no washer to provide backing and once tightened the screw is too long. It actually prevents installation of the rasp. The attachment mechanism for the rasp is inadequate for any real work.But, enough is enough. Don't consider this tool, its worse than being poked by a sharpened stick.

I wanted to be able to write a good review for this tool but cannot. The part used to grip the surform blade is poorly designed. I found that the blades came loose after only a few minutes of use. They need to spend some time using this tool so they know how to correct this problem.

Handle Broke away from the frame on first use. I tried to repair it. I discovered that it was attached using a single nut, no lock washer. What a joke.
