This worked perfectly to get on the roof of our camper. The price is more reasonable than a permanent rv ladder and can be used for other things. It's very portable and sturdy.

This is the best ladder for camping! As most people know, space is very limited in a camper. But we needed to be able to safely reach the top of our canopy after we'd set up, to put up the lights we use while camping. Crazy enough, we DID try bringing a regular aluminum ladder once. ONCE. That's when we found this ladder and it PERFECTLY fit the bill! Compact and strong! My hubby is a big guy with back issues. I've had this ladder for a few months now and I'm pretty happy with it. Its is decently sturdy, and weighed a lot less than another one I was considering. Compactness and weight matter for me, so having it lighter to carry and store was key. Keep in mind that I weigh about 150 lb and it supports my weight just fine. Make sure that all of the rungs are clicked before standing on it! The slow release down is fantastic: my fingers don't get caught/pinched in any of the rungs slamming down when it closes.
