These are made of plastic bristles that are not really stiff enough for the job. Best to no smash the brush on the chain but use a degreaser and just let the brush work that in instead of actually trying to clean the chain with the brush.

Use this on my Mini Bike and it works great. Gets the dust and dirt off quick.

Just pulled the wheels off my Suzuki to get new tires put on and wanted to give my chain a nice deep cleaning. These brushes worked great, with the bristles being strong enough to clean off excess crud without flinging it everywhere. Cleanup afterwards with some WD40 got them looking good as new.It is listed as being suitable for bicycles or motorcycles, but I feel like the U-shaped end wouldn't be as effective with bicycle chains since they are narrower than those on motorcycles.

The quality of these are excellent and will get me through many chain cleaning to come I'm glad I didn't opt for the more expensive grunge brush with aluminum handle and replaceable brushes. Plus, the replacement brushes cost $10 + - more than another pair of these.
