I ordered another type that turned out to be ineffective and I felt had sub-standard quality. These were made of sturdier stuff, had a solid on/off feeling and made a solid connection. I used them to control some LED accent lights that were installed on a friends motocycle.

Works great, with a little tweeking it serves it's purpose. I installed one in the bed of my Ram.

I used it for a kill switch for the sound system on my motorcycle. I had to drill a hole in my chrome coated battery side cover. It looks like it belongs. I'm very happy with it.

Switches APPEAR to be of good quality until you hold in hand and actually use. The nylon seat with set screws rotates ( It does not lock rotation within the stainless threaded shell on the hidden side ). This offers possible water ingress and the VERY high chance that the set screw connections will lose contact with the latching mechanism for circuit continuity. 1 of the 2 switches i ordered had this issue ( and also did not latch). Attempting to return the defective item resulted in a runaround without direct correspondance with seller/manufacturer. If you only need 1 switch, then there is a good chance you will have a working version on an order of 2. Disappointed with quality control of product and overall design. Inefficiency creates employment....

Button has to be pushed in a little to far to toggle between on/off.Good for preventing accidental toggling.

It has an anodized metal housing and a positive lock/unlock action. I installed one on the custom chopper to access the calibration set mode on the Dakota Digital custom digital speedometer I went with. The included push button was a bit of a pain when trying to initialize and set the calibration of the unit while going down the road, pacing someone who is running the predetermined speed for me. The nonlocking, momentary style button was a bit much to keep my thumb on so I got one of these to use instead. Worked great. After calibration was complete and successful it functions as the access to the odometer and bright/dim display. Works great there as well.
