This ink pad set works well for getting the exact print you desire to achieve. Unlike when using the inkless sets, I was able to practice with my thumb, in order to get a better idea of how firmly I need to press on the ink pad when I begin creating prints with my grandkids. This print set also enables you to try again if you mess up. The ink pad size is perfect for little hands and feet. And clean up was effortless, as the ink washes off easily.
Color very diluted . Literally nothing came out

The reason it's still 4 stars, despite the staining, is just how well it works and it washes off skin. Most people are getting this for babies and it wipes right off skin with a wet paper towel. My puppy's paw pads were clean immediately, my fingers were clean immediately, but her white hair on her feet took a few good washes.I've attached a picture of my puppy's paw prints above, for demonstration and viewing pleasure.

A concern I had when reading reviews of other ink pads were that ones for hand prints/ foot prints wouldn't show details well for intricate stamps. This one seems to do fine.I used two stamps with small text in the photo. (one "dip" into the ink pad each) and stamped multiple times.It also washes off easily, I did one pass gently rinsing the bottom of the stamp, and noticed there was still ink in small crevices but after putting it on a paper towel, a second run under tap water (no rubbing) cleaned the rest off.
