The picture of the switch, from the correct perspective, closed the sale. Identical to the original.One must use more force to remove the switch than is comfortable, but once out it unplugs from the wiring plug and you can install it only one way...fool proof! Lights, water dispenser and ice maker all work again. ( this was left door light switch and the old switch must remain in circuit for water and ice maker to work while waiting for replacement light switch)

Our Whirlpool side by side light switch popped its paddle out of it's housing when my husband knocked it while removing an item from the shelf. A quick online search showed how easy it was to replace so, on to Amazon I went. I selected the 2 pack, figuring this could happen again lol. Arrived quickly. It took longer to pull the fridge out to unplug it, than it did to replace the part! It's a plug and play item. Don't be afraid to do this fix yourself. This repair was under $5.00 and I have a spare for next time. Happy momma.

Has both normally open and closed circuit. Wired it so opening the door turns on the light and shuts off the small circulation fan I installed inside. Plus you get a spare!
