We got the kit to make wine and it came with a weird pump thing we couldn't get to go when transferring wine. This is easy to use and it has the filter on the end. That sold us on it. Works great! Must have for any home brewer!!!

I’m not sure if my previous filter is the same manufacturer as it’s not noted anywhere who exactly made this.However, my original filter setup (nearly) identical to this one had a slightly narrower tube that allowed it to be inserted all the way to the bottom of the filter. It had a little blue adaptor to secure the tubing to the filter unit. This one however, the tube only slips in a little ways meaning you can only filter to a level above the filter, once the liquid drops before then your done.

By these two siphon wine to bottle they're okay for the money the glass ones that cost more than these are not worth the money so you either spend less money on these type of siphons where you spend a lot of money on real expensive siphon there's not really a middle ground but these are cheap enough for me to buy using a few times and throw them away and I'm happy with that

Will not fit into standard glass carboy and the hose connection is not air tight so cannot apply enough suction to even start siphoning.

I just got this today. It looks good to go for simple small batches. I am going to use i t in about a week. I so can't wait I have great faith this is going do the job it is intended for. Nice fine screen to screen through.

This two pack of siphoning hoses with filters works great and cleans up well. To make sure the lines totally dry after cleaning I do put them by a dehumidifier to avoid mold issues.

Tried to use this product to siphon oil. Was very disappointed. It took over 30 mins to fill a gallon. I bought it since it said food grade... Would not recommend if you were trying to pump oil.
