Works well with older American Standard toilets! Was considering a new toilet when I couldn't find bolts that fit. All options at Home Depot and local hardware stores had bolts that were too big and didn't fit through the tank. This worked perfectly with great sealing through multiple rubber washers.

If you have a leaking toilet bolt buy this. I replaced the guts of my toilet tank with an all inclusive set of parts and that included 3 replacement screws with the rubber water stopping flange. Well it was fine for 2 or 3 days and then we went on a week long trip to Florida and came back to a flooded master bathroom and a water soaked section of drywall behind the toilet because the water managed to leak. Terribly designed with only 1 piece of rubber seal flange. This might actually be overkill but I'd rather have too much rubber water blocking flanges than not enough

Bolts and nuts are not 5/16-18, they are a metric M6-1.0
