Exactly what we needed. The hose bib was to close to the wall hard to turn on and off. This works great. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

I am using this as a shutoff valve for a drain on a humidifier- interior application so I can't say how it will hold up outdoors. It's a very good build quality, and the included washers and threads are easy to get a good seal with no leaks. It's a bit heavy but I attribute this to the materials used. The input connection has a good feel and I appreciate the connector that made it easier to grip and tighten by hand to make a good seal. I really like the valve handle which is large, easy to see and very smooth and easy to operate. This would be a benefit for outdoor use, especially in dark conditions. No problem giving this a high recommendation!

I was surprised at how much I liked this product. It never occurred to me that such a thing existed, so I never knew what I was missing.Very simply it does exactly what it's supposed to and does it well. It connected to my house spigot easily and with a secure seal on the first try, and the hose attached to the elbow securely and leak-free as well. No leaks and I just used the elbow as it was and no teflon tape or other additions.The shut off valve is smooth and easy to operate. No problems adjusting the water flow from weakest trickle up to full stream, and when it's off it's OFF.My house spigot has the typical style circular metal handle and it was a pain turning that slippery stiff uncomfortable handle, especially when your hands are cold and wet. There was also a whistle that occurred when the water flowed which was not too loud with daytime sounds but at 5am was pretty noticeable. With this Elbow Connector and Valve connected, I turned that stupid handle one last time and guess what, the whistle is gone too.I may update at the end of the summer when I see how it holds up to some wicked elements, but for now I am as pleased and enthusiastic about this product as you can be about a hose thing.A+ product at a good price.2017 edit: In winter 2016/17 the main body of the Elbow split, water everywhere on the side of the house. Evidently I hadn't shut the main spigot completely off during the winter and even without a hard freeze, it was enough to split the Shut-off through temperature swings. Not entirely this product's fault, but the next one I get will be metal.

This valve appears to be of high quality. It's well made and I anticipate it will outlast previous brass-bronze shutoffs I have purchased.It is comfortable to use because of its size, polymer coating, and large polymer valve handle.As others have said, don't expect HIGH Water Flow and it’s because of the 5/16" orifice in the ball valve. I knew this before purchasing and feel I have adequate flow for washing off deck and windows. The 5/16†orifice size is the same diameter as previous shutoffs I have purchased.I will be interested to see if the polymer coating holds up under outdoor UV exposure.

I bought this back in Nov 2024 and put it on my outside faucet. Never used as it until today and when I hooked up my hose and turn the water on the end of the shut-off value came right off.

Bought one of these last summer and am sure it would last many years. However, powdered bug spray ate the threads and it had to be cut off the outside faucet. Purchased replacement and put it away for this summer. Could not find. Purchased third and attached to faucet. A few days later found the original replacement. All in all they are worth the trouble. Great product and solved problem.

Easy to fit and use. My outside tap is closed to my wall and there were lots of splashes on the wall when filling cans etc. this little adaptor keeps the hose away from the wall just far enough to stop the wall getting wet. Well worth it for me

Being able to shut the water off and change nozzles saves a lot of time.Not having to run back and forth to the main shut off saves a lot of time and water.

Had a number of mishaps with the washing machine regarding leaks, piping direction and access. Took a chance and this has sorted them all at the fraction of the cost of having to change the pipe work! Great price also.

Works as I hoped and keeps the hose from kinking when filling my rv tanks. Handy shut-off as well. No leaks yet.
