TL;DR - Fixes leaks, punctures, and adds length if needed. Works perfectly and looks nice enough.Apparently my brother used to leave the hose on perpetually because the spigot is on the back side of the house and everyone is lazy enough not to question it. It was on for months and as long as the sprayer attached was turned off there was no problem.Until one day the concrete hadn't dried under the hose. Assuming it was blocking the sun from drying underneath, the hose was moved away. Only to have the concrete turn dark from wetness in an entirely different area. There was a tiny leak somewhere. Did it get fixed right away? Of course not. lol But when it started to spray everywhere, all of a sudden people paid attention. My husband decided to splice the hose and affix these to the area where the water broke through, and long story short...This fixed our problem wonderfully and hasn't budged for months. Just looks like when you add an extension to a hose line. We'd totally recommend to anyone with a leaky hose or if you're adding length to your line.

Our hose developed a leak .For the rest of it, it's in good condition. So we didn't want to throw away yet. This little adapter worked perfect for that.My husband cut off around 6 inches of the damaged part, inserted the rings and adapter, tighted it with no problem. It took only a few minutes. We've had it for a couple of months now, hasn't leaked. We got two in our order, so incase another leak starts in a different part of the hose, we are ready to fix it.The only issue, is that when your are winding up the hose, aatch your fingers and hands when you get to the attachment part.Other than that,I would definitely recommend and buy again.

This mechanism was relatively easy to assemble, but the metal fittings are pretty big , so forget about holding the hose anywhere near the split comfortably.

These are great repair ends for any hose. Easy to use and at a great price.

Durable, fit description and fairly easy to install. I used a heat gun in the hose to warm it up, and it slipped right in. Tested hose, no leaks.

I’m sure they are good, but were too big to fit in my regular size garden hose. Came with extra washers and were light weight. Not sure if the quality because I couldn’t use them for my need. Maybe if I had a larger garden hose these would work, but I was just trying to fix an old hose.

I had a heck of a time getting these installed on my garden hose. I had to use a heat gun to soften the rubber hose significantly before these would fit in. Perhaps I bought the wrong size - not sure! But once installed, they seem to work well. Good quality so far.

This is a strong brass connector, but it was challenging to prevent leaks without using additional clamps (two per each side of the connection for a total of 4 per connector). Two clamps on each side need to be really tightened hard, and a normal spade screwdriver did not give enough leverage. I used a small socket (as the nuts are hexagonal), but even so, I found that the normal water pressure in a 5/8 " hose is enough to test the water-tightness of the clamp and there was a leak unless I used two clamps per side. Initially, I considered just throwing out the whole hose, but now it works fine. I suggest that this repair can be challenging to do properly, and is greatly assisted by using a socket wrench instead of a screwdriver, or leaks will be likely. In comparison, this type of connection is 10x harder to do than a Sharkbite connector used in normal plumbing lines. Too bad that Sharkbite connectors aren't designed for repairing garden hose.

The collars are hard to tighten due to poor quality. It doesn’t fit into a standard older garden hose, but it does on the newer ones.

The hose keeps coming off after few days in use. I have used extra clamp, but it still comes off. The edges are too smooth, and not enough friction to keep it connected.

As others have said very poor hose clamps. We’ll have to go to the hardware store to buy better clamps otherwise it will continue to leak. Would not recommend.
