NOTE: these are NOT advertised as lead-free adapters or as suitable for potable water. They should NOT be used for drinking water, food prep, washing dishes or even filling kiddie swimming pools (where accidental water consumption is likely to occur). They are fine to use in any situation that does not involve drinking or food prep, including being perfectly fine to use when watering your vegetable garden. They are likewise fine to use in any sort of drain lines (which is how I am using them).This pair of brass, adapters work as expected. Very pleased.3/4 male NPT (National Pipe Thread) on one side. Use teflon tape or pipe dope to seal. You may want to use both if the system is going to be under pressure.3/4 male GHT (Garden Hose Thread, US standard) on the other side. Simply attach the female hose connector hand-tight. (Gloves will help attach more tightly.)My personal experience:- No problems installing.- No leaks.

When you gotta go from 3/4†NPT to a standard Garden Hose (GHT), this is what you need. The threads aer sharply cut and the pitch is right. Use a teflon thread paste for your best seal on the pipe thread side. Rubber washer will be needed on the hose end.

Worked perfectly. Paired with another adapter (ZOUNI Reducing Hex Nipple, 304 Stainless Steel 3/4" NPT Male x 1/4" NPT Male Pipe Fitting Reducer Nipple Adapter 2000psi Reducer Straight Connector (2pcs, 3/4-1/4)) also available on Amazon, a ¾†coupler and an air hose fitting, I was able to create an adapter that I would allow me to hook an air hose up to my garden hoses and blow the water out before storing for winter.

Perfect for attaching3/4" pipe thread to 3/4" npt thread. I used a little Teflon tape, and Voila! Attached and no leaks. I connect a garden sprayer to a hose that had female npt threads
