I have gone through countless hose shut-off valves over the years, primarily due to the valve becoming frozen due to corrosion and scale build-up. These M Mingle shut-offs caught my attention because they are constructed of stainless steel, so they should be much less susceptible to corrosion (and, hopefully, scale accumulation). Additionally, the lever that operates the ball valve is about 2" long, which makes it a lot easier to open and close the valve compared to standard shut-offs that have ~1/2" levers. I have been really pleased withe these valves. At first, they were a little hard to operate, but with repeated use, they have become easier to operate. They are heavy, but I think that portends long operational lives. You will pay a premium for these shut-off valves, but they're worth every penny. Highly recommended!

they are heavyier then the cheaper plastic junk that dies in a year or two because they are solid brass so they can take abuse like dropping the hose end, etc, but also have a larger internal passthru hole so allow more water thru per minute. it becomes important when using 3/4" hoses vs 1/2" hoses.

These work well. Being able to stop the flow from the hose at any point is nice. They are well made and have some weight to them. We are pleased with them.

However if you drop the hose, very easy to turn on when it hits the floor. High quality, exactly what I was looking for, just have to be careful when setting it down...

These are the best point of use hose valves I have ever used. I waited all summer for something to pop-up and hate it, but here I am writing a review. They are well made and do not leak with full pressure on them all summer long. Easy to actuate. The only thing is that sometimes they do not lay flat in the off position. The valve actuator is long and if not laid properly, it will stick up straight waiting for someone’s foot.

The price was not low, but the quality was very good

After years of using the brass/plastic hose ends, that all fail the same way when the rubber lever coming loose or breaking off after only a couple your of seasons, i bought these in the hopes they would last longer. Initially, i am was taken back by the weight, but upon closer examination i saw that these fittings appear to repairable. If that is the case then these are worth every cent i paid for them. I also noticed how long the control lever is - making control of the flow easier when I am wearing gloves, or when you have muddy fingers and you use the heal of your hand. The test of these will be in a year or so, but seeing all metal parts i find it hard to believe that these won’t last considerably longer than their plastic or plastic and brass brothers.Edit: A year later and this hose end is going strong. Couldn’t be more pleased with the durability. If it has one flaw, it is that the oversized control arm will pop open when you toss the hose down. Not a deal breaker for sure, but the first time it sprays on you, you will remember to set it down a little more gently. This unit has never (knock on wood) leaked and shows no sign of deterioration. Will probably by some more as the other hose ends I have break frequently.

The shut off valve is sturdy and brass. The shut off stem is long enough that it's easy to grip to turn on/off. Good product. I ordered two and wasn't disappointed.

It was easy to install. Operates very smoothly and is of good quality. Will see how it performs in time.

I used this device on an extending brush handle as the hosepipe connector to stop the hose from falling off of the plastic fitting supplied with it. This is an excellent product and does the job very well. I would buy again when needed.

Le filetage mâle ne correspond à aucun de mes autres raccords 3/4 pouces. Cela ressemble à un défaut de fabrication.

The thread doesn't quite match any of my other 3/4 in fittings. It looks like faulty manufacture.
