Don't torque them too much, or you can pull the female ring off the other piece. Then it's useless.

I added both connectors to a pump and it constantly leaks even with Teflon tape. It was a total waste of time and a product that I can't use at all for a water pump.

The part continues to separate into two separate pieces under any reasonable pressure.
