Appear to be brass and manufactured very well. I purchased extra male connectors to attach plant feeder and long wand spray gun. Every fit together perfectly, easily to connect and disconnect ,no leaks. I plan on purchasing another set.

These fittings work great, easily attached to one another. In the past, I bought the Orbit quick disconnects from Home Depot and have had nothing but problems with them.

These are nice looking couplers, and work pretty well. They come with extra washers. I had only one leak out of three, and fixed that by fixing the issue with the male end of the hose that the coupler was attached to...Like other couplers, whether or not they leak depends a lot on how much the washers compress. Compression makes the washer bulge filling gaps between the connector and the hose. More importantly, compression of the female component's washer makes the washer bulge enough to create contact around with the tip of the male connector. So, when using these connectors:1) Make sure the washer is still in place. Washers often fall out when detaching components...2) Make sure the washer is in good condition. Not too brittle, or ripped.3) If you have leaks, screw the parts on TIGHTER. This will compress the washers more.4) If you still have leaks, check your male hose end. Mine sometimes have small dents; these will be leaks, as the washer cannot bulge enough. I use pliars to straighten out the dents, so the hose end is back to a good circle.Other than that, these seem better than a batch of connectors I bought at a home improvement store.

Then this product is for you. Tired of perpetually being soaked every time I wanted to move or change my garden hose, I began contemplating the "quick connect" idea and took the plunge a few weeks ago. Nothing more frustrating than swapping out a hose and coming away looking like you've wet your pants--happens too often when your a senior anyway! I wanted to be able to remove my garden hose and sprayer simply, and without a lot of fuss for old-retired-lady-hands. These connectors are solid little gadgets that set up and stay put until you decide different. The hardest part is getting them threaded onto the hose spigot that first time. Mine is raised up about two feet off the ground so it is relatively easy to reach. If your hose spigot is lower to the ground it will be harder but it is a one-time investment in bending over and threading it on making the trouble a good investment for the future bending--and yer back! The connector operates by pulling the top part (female end) back and up while you pull/push down/up on the hose end for connect or disconnect. This motion results in a click that lets you know the connection is made. The fittings are solid, have some weight in your hands and operate smoothly. I need both hands to do on/off but if you have strong hands and fingers you could do it single-handedly. As far as the washers go, they are adequate and should last a while, but I keep back ups handy in case. They operate smoothly once you get the hand of the "push to connect/disconnect" motions. The one on my sprayer end works well too. I would recommend practicing connecting/disconnecting before installation to get the hand of it so you're not standing on your head in 90 degree weather cussing out your plumbing wondering why the only water being produced is the sweat running down your butt crack. I think this may be one of my smarter purchases this year.

these are wonderful for not having to go through a lot of fumbling to screw on a new hose. Unclip or clip on the new one and you're back in business - very good quality as well

Very well made connection (which historically spring leaks) are quality brass (not plastic crap) and secure the connection. Come with a few extra washers to keep for long term maintenance. Fairly price for good quality.

I used to use some plastic ones many years ago but they all broke2 years ago I bought a set of these and loved them.I bought another set this year and right now basically every single hose and water appliance in my home uses these for quick release. I even have one on my power washer. They are very sturdy, the only thing to replace is the o-ring, and honestly if you haven't already - consider replacing literally all screw hose attachments with these - you wont regret it.

I have had a few types over the years and over time they all seem to degrade and leak. Cheap plastic/aluminum types. I keep these things all over my house attached to anything that can accept a hose, or nozzle. These on the other hand are solid brass, heavy weight and connect and disconnect like butter. Highly recommended.
