Made of solid brass. Came with 4 worm gear clamps and 4 washers. I used one on my broken 1/2†garden hose. Perfect fit. No leaks.

I've never fixed a hose before but with temps in the high 90`s I had to figure it out to save my plants. It's really easy to insert into hose end, took me about 5 minutes. I hooked up the sprinkler and not only were my plants happy, there were birds everywhere taking baths in the mist and butterflies appeared for the first time this summer! Wow, so nice to save $ and the creatures that call my backyard home.No leaks either 🤗

The package indicated that the fittings were 3/4 inch. When measured they were barely 1/4 inch od. It slid easily into the hose. Since I desperately needed the fitting I used plumbers tape and a tight clamp. Not too happy about this.
