Not at all hard to assemble, I didn't even look back at product photos, just looking at each piece it is obvious where it goes. This is a thick PVC type material, if you have a known chewer I would avoid any plastics but for calm pets with adequate enrichment chewing typically isn't an issue. There was a sligt crack in it I reenforced with some pet safe glue, not a fault of the product itself but amazons packaging jobs have been incredibly sloppy lately. The screws add extra reinforcement I have a wooden style house in another rodent enclosure that I wish had screws! As for not having tapped holes like some reviews state that is not at all necessary as the screws just easily go into the plastic. Small screwdrivers are also included. This will easily wipe clean. The set of two toys and a house is a great money saver for tank clutter. All in all I will be repurchasing this style for any future rodent homes! The colors are so sweet!

I got a dwarf hamster for christmas last year, i love my grandpa to death but the cage be bought was far too small! i just got the upgraded cage and i thought this would be cute for him. and it is!its really sturdy from what i can tell, its a little flimsy, but snowball is so tiny im sure it wont be a problem.it didnt come with instructions to build it, and the video on the page was really fast so it was a little difficult to put together... but i figured it out!my only complaint would be it chipped very easily, putting it together was difficult, but other than that! im sure itll be perfect for my dwarf hamster! i might edit this review to show if he likes it or not :)

Ok.. this is cute and it was quick to put together but if you have a gerbil... AVOID.1. this was eaten in less than 24 hours. I mean gone. gerbils are notorious for this but I was hoping for at least a week. this would be great for a hamster, or some small pet that is less destructive2. there are screws in this. again, if you have a creature that won't plow through something like this, then it's fine and not harmful but if you have gerbils, it's a big fat zero and is really dangerous.3. it's fragile to put together, it broke in one area, I was able to make it work but it's still note worthy.

I liked these theyre cute right but the house broke while I was putting it together and then my hamster didn't even end up fitting in it because he's a Syrian. It's so hard to find Syrian sized toys. I still use the seesaw and bridge though.

This product arrived unassembled, which I didn't catch in the description. With that said, there are no instructions for assembly except on the Amazon product page which has pictures only. The pieces don't snap together good so I had to use a rubber mallet to get them attached. Even then, the pieces on the hut are not placed evenly. Some of the pieces have screw holes, which the screws were provided. They don't easily go into the pieces well since the joining piece doesn't have a screw hole. The see - saw's circular pieces have screw holes but no matching holes on the platform. Therefore, the holes didn't align well and split the wood underneath causing the screw to be exposed, which would have potentially hurt my hamster had I not seen that. Two attempts later, I was able to safely have it assembled. The bridge assembled easier. The colored flats didn't snap into the bridge base easily, and I had to use a rubber mallet. It went together the easiest, however. Once fully assembled, it appears to be sturdy and no screws sticking out of the wood.Overall, had there been instructions and easier assembly, this would have made a fun project to put together.

This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It was easy to put together and kinda fun like a puzzle. It’s very sturdy high quality material for the price. I would buy again and I’ve already recommended it to several of my friends.
