Love the flaps on the cover. My dog will grab there to play and toss vs just grabbing the cover and ripping it.

Bought this for my Great Dane puppy (7mths) loves to play ball. Read the reviews to use 2 covers on it if they have sharp teeth - I did that and it popped immediately. Very disappointed.

The herding ball was delivered in good condition. I was able to use the enclosed air pump to inflate the ball, but I have to say the pump is pretty flimsy. It also makes a loud honking noise when you use it. My dog barked the whole time I was using the pump. Once inflated, we took the ball outside. My dog was leery of it at first, but was soon chasing it and nipping at it.One recommendation, aside from my concern about the air pump, is that the ball is likely best for someone who has a flat yard. My yard is on a hill, so the ball just rolls down the hill. In addition, anyone who purchases the ball will need a pretty large space to store it.

I have a German Shepherd.Generally these giant blue balls will last a few weeks. Generally they're awesome; he loves them, shepherds them all over the yard. Except he grabs the seam and continues to work it until he works thru and shreds the waxed cover.This one however, 14 seconds. He grabbed a handle, shook his head and the entire cover fell apart. That was unfortunate.

Our dog loves this!! She doesn't really get the whole herding aspect but loves to wrestle and chase the ball around the house. Her favorite activity is grabbing it and shaking it so I was pleasantly surprised at the durability of the cover, so far it's holding up really well. She has an older one that was smaller and the cover on this one is much more durable.Getting the ball unfolded and blown up was pretty easy, instructions are pretty hard to read but they include picture and honestly it's nothing Earth shattering... Biggest thing is you need to put the ball inside of the cover before you inflate.Comes with an extra cover as well as an extra stopper and a tool to remove the stopper. You will want something to blow up the ball with...we had a small portable air mattress pump and that did a great job.

The cover wasn't tight after I completely inflated the ball inside of it. It was way to easy for my dog to bite the flap and rip it in less than 10 minutes. If the opening had some type of secure closure, maybe even velcro it would last longer.
