This step motor was a little different from the original motor that was on the stairs. The original had a hole going through the drive gear as well as the aluminum housing that would allow it to slip on a shaft mounted on the plate of the stair activation gear so I had to remove the plate to remove the shaft from it. This was actually a better setup because it made it easier to line up the mounting bolts for the motor so for that reason it took a little more work installing the new motor and the reason for 4 stars on "Easy to install".

The 3 bolt holes to secure to mount plate are not correct and need to be over sized just a little. The spacers that are OEM will fit on the bottom between plate and actuator motor, but the bolt pattern on plate needed a very small oversized drill the get everything to line up. The spacers between the plate at the top and actuator cannot be used as that end of block is not machined and casting is left as is, so washers or nuts have to be substituted. Seems to run fine once installed. If you are handy no problem otherwise go to a good shop. This is the cost of low price. In this case OK.
