This product is very durable and for speedy snow plowing of sidewalks. This is the smaller version of these produce and is not rated for heavy snow. Long handle makes for comfort and easy directional flip. It's easy to clean and snow does not often get stuck to it.Had this for years. As long as the snow isn't too high or you do it in smaller sections when it is.. you are good as gold. Easy to use, easy to care for, easy to store. We had a corner lot with lots of sidewalk, large wide four car drive way and wide road. I used this for every snow sweep. Made it easy to make pathways on the road to allow mailman from getting stuck in the snow at our house. I even used it at the hill of an intersection and to clear a large path in front of our driveway to ensure traction.

I bought this to make it easier for my husband and myself to shovel snow. We’re in our late 60s and lifting and throwing snow is too hard on our backs. So just today I used it to clean off our wide driveway, the sidewalk to the front door and the sidewalk in front of our house. We only had a couple of inches of snow at that point, but this thing made short work of the job and it was so incredible easy.Tips: you don’t want to wait until you have 6” or more of snow because it’s just too deep and too much snow to push. If we’re expecting a lot of snow, I’ll go out and “plow” it every 2-3” we get. That might sound silly, but it keeps the pushing of snow manageable and the job goes so much quicker.Next, you can change the direction the plow funnels the snow simply by flipping the whole thing over. It’s really that easy.We’ve used it a couple of winters now and each time I’ve got to use it I’m blown away by just how easy it is to use. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I recently moved to a new house on a corner lot. My property has a ton of sidewalk, not to mention a two car driveway. I have a snowblower, but I wanted an option that I could use for those days when we only get a couple inches of snow. Does the Snowcaster work? Absolutely. Should you buy one? That depends.I am thrilled with this snow pusher. It saves me so much time and more importantly, it saves my back and shoulders from unnecessary strain. Before getting this, I was spending well over an hour shoveling my property. After this, I can get it done in half the time, under the right conditions. This pusher is meant for light and fluffy snow, not wet and heavy snow, and certainly not snow that is half melted and stuck to the sidewalks. When snow is light and fluffy, it gets pushed to the edge of the sidewalk, or you can pile it up and use a shovel to move the pile versus moving a scoopful every foot or two. The latter is my preferred method because I like to really toss the snow further from the sidewalk.The biggest thing to keep in mind with this snow pusher is that it’s designed for flat surfaces. If you have rough, cracked, chipped, or uneven sidewalks, this isn’t for you. I’m fortunate that my sidewalks and driveway are fairly even and flat. Because of that, this pusher makes quick work of moving snow. If you have rough or uneven sidewalks, you’re going to be dealing with the pusher stuttering across the ground and you’ll be damaging your blade. These blades aren’t meant to last forever. And while you can follow some of the tips in other reviews to add a metal strip to the blade for a tougher, longer lasting blade, it’s not the best idea. The benefit of this blade versus a metal blade, is that this one has a little give. It’s far more forgiving when going over a slight change of depth, like sidewalk cracks. It will flex and keep going across the surface unlike a metal edged blade that will slam into the crack and stop, shoving the handle back towards your body.My biggest complaint about this shovel is that I was sent a defective piece of hardware. I’ve attached photos of the included hardware, and in my set, one of the 1/4 inch washers was too small. It wouldn’t fit. I had to make a run to the hardware store to buy my own washer to finish putting the shovel together. For $90, I expect the very basic hardware included with this shovel to be in working condition. Additionally, the instructions are a single sheet with only one diagram. It’s not difficult to follow and putting the shovel together probably only took me 15 minutes (not including the drive to the hardware store and back). However, for those with less experience following build-it-yourself instructions, these might leave a little to be desired. I’ve included a photo of the instructions as well.Overall, I think that this is a very nice snow pusher that does a great job of clearing light snow. It’s much faster than a standard shovel and it requires a lot less muscle. I would recommend it to people with lots of sidewalk, but only if that sidewalk is even.

Ohio resident here.So far, I have purchased four of these Snowcasters.One for my personal use, one for my office, and two for my friends.Hands down, almost effortless. My driveway is24’x 80’ and it only takes 20 minutes to clear the snow. If it’s a wet snow, it takes a little longer. There’s no lifting involved. Just push the snow.Love it! Worth every penny.

This works really great! I have an electric snow blower for anything that's over 4" thick, but when I need something that would save me from back-breaking shovel work such as 2" snow, this fits the bill! Assembles very quick and ready to go right away. I can clear my long driveway and my sidewalk as well as my neighbor's in a jiffy! Very easy to use: you just push and the shovel clears the snow away. The shovel is angled so you can choose which side you want the snow to be pushed; changing angles is as easy as flipping the shovel! Highly recommended!

It's light and quick. Just like on the YouTube videos. (You need different types of snow clearing implements depending on the conditions. For light snow this is pretty ideal.) It's not for lifting snow so you need a plan for where to PUSH it. It is able to deal with the slush at the end of the driveway where the city has plowed it, as long as it's not too heavy. It works with less force than you might imagine.

So far so good. A couple of weeks after its arrival, I got to use it after a snowfall. It is great for light snowfalls. It is much easier than the normal snow shovel, as this one does not require you to lift the snow, which is dangerous to your heeart. Obviously, it is not suitable for heavy snowfalls. I have a snowthrower for that. It is offset to one side, and it is reversible, so you can push the snow towards you right or your left. Just flip it to the direction you want.

I bought this as an upgrade to my fixed-handle snow pusher. I do not expect to use this for heavy snow, but I have tested it with light snowfall and it has a much improved clearing speed over the fixed handle one.Strain: There is no back strain when using this device - the primary muscles engaged are the triceps for pushing, so that works as expected.Sturdiness: The blade, frame, and wheels are all hard plastic. The handle is a single metal piece. Time will tell whether they are durable enough, but I think that as long as the device is not manhandled it'll last a long time. The box claims that replacement parts can be ordered, so that's a bonus.Shipping: The items were loose in the box. Nothing was damaged, but some light padding with maybe a sheet of recycled paper would have been welcome.10 minute assembly: It assembles in 10 minutes IF you have the appropriate tools. You'll need a 13mm open wrench (can't use socket or 12-point wrench due to lack of space, see #6 on the product's assembly schematic picture), a 14mm wrench (this one CAN be socket or ratcheting) and a small adjustable wrench.

Superb ! Makes snow clearing fast, efficient, not physically straining.Best time use when snow is not quite high yet nor wet and heavy.
