I was starting to think I was going to have to spend $1000 on a new oven. I researched the factory part for my Kenmore oven and it was over $200. When I searched amazon for the factory part number this item showed up in its place. I was reluctant because of the price but man-o-man we are back in business.This is a simple repair for any DIYer. a few screws off the back panels to get to the wires to unplug the element. a few screws inside the oven to remove the old part then reverse all that to install the new one. The new element need a little messaging to get it to fit exactly. Gently bend the element leads until the line up with the holes in the back of the oven and your are all good. Don't pry too hard. Also when you get it back together and fire it up I would recommend burning it in at 400 for at least an hour with the door propped open.I did ohm test the old one before ordering so I knew this was the part. When I went to take the old one out I found that it had broke in several places and actually welded itself to the bottom of the oven. Do yourself a favor and order this if its the right model and style for your unit.

It fits and works, but not quite as well as the original. It takes a little longer for the oven to get up to temperature. It's been 6 months since replacing it and still working just fine.

Ordered this oven element because it had more coils than the old one that burned out. Wanted to get a more even heat pattern from the top element. Checked the specs and everything matched up so I took a chance it would work. Glad I did, the oven performes better than it ever had. Good price, fast shipping. Would buy again.

Our oven started to not heat probably and with holidays coming up I knew wife was going to start baking. Reading reviews I bought this and followed simple instructions on YouTube. Easy to remove and install.
