I'd like if it was a little easier to operate, but it's fine. You don't usually need under the house much, but this is a fixer-upper and so we're in and out quite a bit now. Not a problem to set it. Going to put a foam board on the back shortly, that bare metal will still let our pipes freeze too easily--but it's far better than the gaping hole in the foundation wall left by the previous owners. When we get the other work done, we'll paint the foundation wall and this door and it will look fine.

Not as sturdy as I would like but acceptable to seal an opening. Not really fond of the locking mechanism- it would be impossible to use if wearing gloves and you may elect to use a small pry bar to get it into a position to complete the opening function. Still, as a security consideration, you don’t really want to make it easy, do you?Extremely unlikely any four legged critters can open it .If you plan to use the padlock mount, you’ll need a small lock or you will NOT be able to use it. There simply is not enough clearance to use a standard lock.

OMG what garbage. Bent and warped piece of crap, not square. Twisted. Just a waste of time and money. And now too late to return

Solid door, but it didn't come painted black as the listing shows. Due to the Open Box pricing I got I'm keeping them and will paint. If not for the Used Condition price they would be sent back though.

The door frame is 16¼" high by 32⅜" wide with an additional ½" lip on each side to overlap the backside of the brick. The "lintel" extends 1.5" beyond each side of the frame. The door measures 15¼" high by 31⅝" wide. It is galvanized and not black. The unit is well made but the one I received had a sloppy weld but it didn't affect the usage.

Did not want to remove bricks to install new door frame and so cut off angled edge on the sides and was able to pound it into place afterwards. Added 1" foam weatherseal strips all around doubling up on the bottom. NICE!
