I needed 5/8" holes to mount a table mounted clamp on my drill press table. Worked great. Easily cut the holes with a little oil. I got the clamp on Amazon (Inserta Pliers) and they work great. The pliers are a table mounted vise grip pliers, with a little crank on the end to tighten it.I rotated the table around the column and used the drill press to cut the hole.

This drill bit was exactly what I needed to punch through my fence post to run the landscape light wire through it so the wire would not be visible.

It worked for 3 holes before starting to dull on mild steel. It's giving my ancient Drill Doctor a good workout. But, it was cheap and didn't want to spend $60 on good quality bit for 20 holes. So I would buy again if need be.

Lasted about 5 seconds before it snapped, ended up going to the hardware store to buy a real bit. I was drilling at a slow to medium speed and was using oil. The bit I replaced it with cut the 4 holes that I needed like butter.

Needed this size drill bit to drill holes for drainage tubes for bed cover on truck. Drilled right through metal bed without any difficulty.
