Having this material on a single roll makes it easy to only use the amount I need with little to no waste. As a business owner, this is important to me.The material is light so as to not interfere with any design I am making - even on the thinnest of fabrics. (I'm sure it would show through on sheer materials though as everything does.)I have used this with applique designs, adding facial features to dolls/stuffies and doing basic hemming. I prefer to use this to hold the fabric in place and not have to use pins at my machine.

The reason I ordered the hem tape is because a video I watched taught me I would need it for repairing holes in jeans. I recently got a sewing kit to teach myself how to sew and instead of throwing all of those jeans away, I kept them. It's too expensive to keep replacing them when there's still a ton of fabric left to be used.I tried everything out for the first time and the hem tape really does work to keep everything in place. I've had no issues and recommend this for repairing holes in clothes!

I’m not sure why the description says no ironing is needed because, in my experience, ironing is absolutely required! It’s not adhesive tape—it’s the iron-on type of hem tape. That said, it still works perfectly for my needs.As someone who doesn’t sew, I absolutely love this hem tape. It’s perfect for shortening pants without the hassle of needle and thread. My method is simple: I apply the tape, iron it to bond, and then I add a few basting stitches for extra reinforcement. This gives me a more secure hem while still avoiding sewing the entire thing. You get a lot of tape for the price, so it should last me quite a while!

I'm brand new to sewing. My teenager asked for a sewing machine for Christmas, so I've been teaching myself the basics of sewing. One of the main reasons for getting the sewing machine in the first place was to be able to make simple alterations. My first few attempts at hemming pants, shirts, and a tote bag were pretty abysmal. I quickly realized ironing is not optional. Also a seam guide is a great help in keeping stitches straight. Finally, this Marcobrothers 3/4 inch hemming tape is a game changer when it comes to hemming. It's strong enough that you could probably get away with not sewing the hem, at least for a while. But I absolutely love it for holding the hem in place for me to sew. Recommended!

I use hemming tape for a variety of sewing situations. I find it easy to cut into small sections sot hat I can easily repair and attach so my patches and hems hold nicely. I have used this heavier hem tape of appliques for uniform school appliques that will stay on even after being washed. This comes on a boxed roll of 32 yards and it is easy to cut and then iron in place. I find this heavier tape is preferable to the lighter weight for clothing that is worn daily like school uniforms or health care scrubs. Having a sagging hem can be avoided by using this hem tape which is designed for this type of use.
