I saw my son using this tool and asked him about it. He mentioned how well it worked and how much time it saved cutting copper pipes. After seeing how quickly and efficiently it cut, I was so impressed that I got one for my own toolbox. What a difference! It’s far better than the old method of twisting and tightening the screw—much faster and more effective. Definitely a great buy!

I anticipated plastic, but this is a metal construction. It adds some weight, but feels much more sturdy. Finish has some room for improvement, but nothing serious. The tension level is a bit high/aggressive, so it does cut quickly, but I will see if there's a way to adjust that. In the end, this was surprisingly good for its price.

I am only going to use it once in a while, so it will last me a long time. The few times I have used it so far, it did a great job.

was a little leary of this modern pipe cutter - because I didn't see a way to tighten down the blade after rotating it (like you did with the old ones .. but as long as you twist it the direction of the arrow it tightens down with each turn .... worked great !!!

Great close quarter tubing cutter for 3/4†copper. It is a little stiff and hard to snap onto the pipe, but with that being said it doesn’t pop off while turning like some of the other cutters of similar design. It feels heavy duty. Keep it clean and dry if it gets wet and should last a long time.

I have a set of 3 different-sized name-branded (think major city in Wisconsin) copper pipe cutters that look exactly like this one. This one (I chose the 1/2" size) works just the same. As others have said, yes, it does require a fair bit of hand and forearm strength to twist given the solid bite it takes on the pipe, but it works just the same and costs a fraction of the price. Very pleased to have this one as a back-up! Also comes with an extra cutting blade which is nice.UPDATE: After using this pipe cutter just a few more times now (in fact, to make 2 more pipe cuts since original review where I had used it a couple cuts), the blade is quite dull. The blade used in this product is nowhere close to comparison with the Milwaukee-branded pipe cutters I have and use on a regular basis. Save your money, and buy the branded product in this case. I am revising my review to 2 stars, down from 5 stars.

This review is for the "BearHut 3/4" Copper Pipe Tube Cutter ."These compact tube cutters are great when you're working in tight spaces. All my tube cutters are the type that you have to tighten down the cutter wheel as you're cutting the pipe. In tight spaces, they can be a real pain to work with. In addition to working in tight spaces, the cutting wheel automatically tightens on the tube as you're turning it. A much simpler way to cut copper tubing. It's also a nice bonus to get an extra cutting wheel with the unit.All-in-all, a handy little item to put in your plumbing tool bag. Definitely recommended.

The quality of the cutters are really good but 20mm copper used in Australia is too small for these cutters, the 3/4 cutters don't even touch the copper... Oh well
